A CNC bending machine is a machine that uses equipped molds (universal or specialized molds) to bend metal sheets in various geometric shapes. It is a sheet metal forming machine designed for cold-rolled sheet metal processing and widely used in industries such as automotive, aircraft manufacturing, light industry, shipbuilding, containers, elevators, and railway vehicles.
Operating methods of CNC bending machine:
1. First, turn on the power supply, open the switch on the control panel, and then start the oil pump. You will hear the sound of the oil pump rotating, but at this time the machine does not perform any actions.
2. Stroke adjustment: When adjusting the stroke, it is necessary to pay attention and test before bending. When the upper mold descends to the bottom, there must be a plate thickness gap to prevent damage to the mold and machine. The stroke adjustment can also be done through electric quick adjustment.
3. Selection of bending slot: Generally, a slot width that is 8 times the thickness of the plate should be selected. For example, for bending a 4mm plate, a slot width of about 32 should be chosen.
4. Back gauge adjustment: It usually has electric quick adjustment and manual fine adjustment, similar to a shearing machine.
5. Step on the foot switch to start the bending process. Unlike a shearing machine, the mold of a CNC bending machine can be released at any time. Releasing the foot switch stops the movement, and stepping on it again continues the downward movement.
Components of a CNC bending machine:
1. Slider section: It uses hydraulic transmission and consists of a slider, hydraulic cylinder, and mechanical stop block fine adjustment structure. The left and right hydraulic cylinders are fixed on the frame, and the piston (rod) drives the slider to move up and down through hydraulic pressure. The mechanical stop block is controlled and adjusted by the CNC system.
2. Worktable section: Operated by a button box, it uses an electric motor to drive the back gauge frame to move forward and backward. The distance of movement is controlled by the CNC system, with a minimum reading of 0.01 millimeters (there are travel switch limits for both front and rear positions).
3. Synchronization system: Unlike ordinary bending machines, this machine uses servo valves and hydraulic devices such as gratings to form a closed-loop circuit, accurately controlling various actions of the bending machine.
4. Material stop mechanism: The material stop is driven by an electric motor, and two lead screws are synchronized by a chain to move. The CNC system controls the size of the material stop.
