What materials are used for curved cabinets?

Materials have their advantages and disadvantages, and no one can replace your choice. Let's discuss the advantages and disadvantages of commonly used cabinet countertops and cabinet panels, and choose according to your needs.

The current mainstream choice for cabinet countertops is artificial quartz stone countertops. In addition to that, there are also options like artificial stone, granite, marble, etc. However, due to the high hardness, heat resistance, acid and alkali resistance, impact resistance, easy cleaning, and radiation-free characteristics of quartz stone, it has become the mainstream choice for overall cabinets. Therefore, we have chosen quartz stone countertops.

Cabinet panels can be roughly divided into the following types:

1. Melamine veneer door panels:
These panels have various advantages such as no warping, no deformation, and strong corrosion resistance. They come in a variety of colors. Melamine veneer door panels, represented by Austrian Egger board, are widely used in the Chinese cabinet industry. They have the advantages of a smooth surface, not easily deformed, bright color, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and moderate price. When paired with matching edge bands, they provide a visually integrated effect. Domestically produced melamine veneer door panels, represented by Lushuihe board, meet international standards in all aspects and are a good choice.

2. Fireproof board door panels:
Fireproof boards are decorative boards made by mixing silicon or calcium-based materials with a certain proportion of fiber materials, lightweight aggregates, adhesives, and chemical additives through steam pressing technology. The construction of fireproof boards requires higher requirements for adhesive pasting, and the price of high-quality fireproof boards is higher than that of decorative boards. The base material of fireproof boards is particleboard or MDF (medium-density fiberboard), and the surface is covered with a fireproof board. They come in various colors, are fireproof, oil-resistant, acid and alkali resistant, heat-resistant, and easy to clean. However, the quality of the internal material affects its lifespan, and it may delaminate if it gets damp or if the adhesive is not good.

3. UV board:
UV boards are made from high-quality, environmentally friendly, moisture-resistant high-density boards. They undergo processing steps such as printing, UV primer, and UV topcoat. They are environmentally friendly, highly glossy, wear-resistant, and resistant to aging. The surface is coated with transparent and environmentally friendly UV-cured paint, and the decorative surface material is created using strong ultraviolet light curing technology. Imported machinery and unique production processes ensure excellent physical and chemical properties, ensuring that UV boards do not fade over time and solving the problem of color difference. The high hardness of UV boards makes them brighter with more use, and they can withstand various acid and alkali disinfectants. Their advantages include good glossiness, obvious high-gloss mirror effect, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, good wear resistance, and a rich variety of colors. The disadvantages include the potential for surface cracking between the paint layer and the UV film, especially when the process is not well done. It is generally sealed with aluminum alloy edging, and if water seeps into the edge of the side panel, it can easily cause deformation of the board. Therefore, it is important to keep the countertop clean and tidy.

4. Baking paint door panels:
These panels are made by baking high-quality E1 grade MDF (medium-density fiberboard) after undergoing six rounds of spraying imported paint (three bases, two sides, one finish) at high temperatures. The surface is polished, primed, dried, and polished, and comes in three types: high gloss, matt, and metallic paint. They have a variety of colors and are not prone to stains, making them easy to clean. The metallic paint gives a high-gloss color and a metallic texture, creating a luxurious and noble atmosphere. However, they require higher technical craftsmanship, processing environment, and operating skills. If the process is not well done, it can result in uneven paint, local peeling, or stains. Baking paint door panels require careful maintenance and should avoid scratching or impact. The surface treatment of baking paint door panels can be single-sided or double-sided. If single-sided treatment is used, the moisture resistance of the door panel may be relatively poor, and it is prone to deformation. The base material for baking paint panels is MDF. Due to its diverse colors and strong overall shape, it can be a good choice regardless of the size of the space. For small areas, a linear or L-shaped layout with light colors can help create a sense of space enlargement. For large kitchens, color coordination is more important. Bright red to bright green, paired with island or corridor layouts, can create a personalized and modern look. The advantages of baking paint door panels include vibrant colors, smooth surfaces, strong anti-stain capabilities, and ease of cleaning. The surface paint effectively prevents water penetration without the need for edge sealing. It does not absorb oil or fade. However, they are susceptible to scratches and damages, and repairs are difficult once they are damaged. They may also show color differences in kitchens with a lot of oil fumes. When choosing and maintaining baking paint door panels, it is important to check if the paint is even and if the frame is properly constructed. Baking paint door panels are suitable for those who have higher requirements for appearance and quality. However, they may show color differences in kitchens with a lot of oil fumes, so it is important to consider the household's situation. When wiping, do not use steel wool, but use a clean cotton cloth. If there are scratches that cannot be repaired, they may hide dirt and affect the smoothness, making future cleaning difficult. After using a cleaning agent, it must be wiped clean with water, otherwise it may cause discoloration over time. The combination of metal silver, fluorescent green, and the wood-like effect of the curved cabinet creates a mix of color and material in the kitchen.

5. Automotive paint door panels:
The production process of automotive paint door panels involves 28 steps, including cutting, milling, grinding, sealing, special primers, drying, cleaning, scraping, wind pressure dust removal, coating protection cleaning, spraying base coat, low-temperature drying, spraying clear coat, flash drying, high-temperature drying, water grinding, polishing, and packaging. The intermediate production process is as complex and strict as automotive painting.

Product features: (1) High decoration: The surface has a high metallic luster, soft and beautiful like a high-end car's surface; the metallic texture is strong, and the effects of silver powder and pearl paint are more prominent and delicate. The paint film is full and transparent, with accurate and beautiful colors, luxurious and atmospheric appearance, and extraordinary quality. (2) Better physical and chemical properties: Hardness is between 2H and 3H, much higher than that of ordinary paint. It has excellent toughness, similar to metal's good ductility, and excellent impact resistance. It has the strongest oxidation and UV resistance, just like cars that can withstand wind, rain, and sun for years without fading, let alone indoors. It can maintain its color without fading for at least five years. Since automotive paint is made according to computer formulas, there is no need to worry about color differences. Even after several years, repairs can achieve perfect consistency, which cannot be achieved by any other paint. It truly stands the test of time. The most obvious advantage of automotive paint door panels compared to other types of panels is their bright color, luxurious appearance, prominent metallic texture, no yellowing or fading, and no worries about color differences.

6. Metal door panels:
The structure of metal panels is a metal sheet laminated on medium-density fiberboard, which undergoes special oxidation treatment, fine wire drawing, and surface formation of a dense protective layer. Metal panels with a metal texture are directly processed and formed in one step. Style characteristics: Metal texture door panels are the latest trend in Europe, bold and avant-garde, highly individualistic and contemporary, bringing a cool breath to busy kitchen life. Metal panels have a strong modern flavor, and they can be highlighted even in small-sized kitchens with their simplicity and fashion. A single-line cabinet layout is sufficient, allowing all work to be completed in a straight line. The advantages of metal texture door panels are excellent wear resistance, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and easy daily maintenance. The texture is delicate, and the lines are simple and generous, making it easy to clean. It has a long service life, durability, and environmental friendliness without emitting any odor. The disadvantages include a "cold" feeling due to the predominant use of cool colors and a tendency to deform easily after slight collisions, leaving groove-like indentations that are difficult to repair.

7. Aluminum frame glass door panels:
Glass door panels are commonly used materials for wall cabinet doors. They have aluminum or wooden frames around them, and the majority of the panel is glass. They can also be used as partial inlays or decorative accents, creating a modern feel that is currently very popular and enhancing the overall look of the kitchen, remaining timeless.

Style characteristics: In classic-style cabinets, the combination of natural wood and glass gives a rustic and nostalgic feel. The combination of baked paint panels and glass is both modern and stylish. Especially in smaller kitchens, glass provides brightness and transparency, making it the best way to enlarge the space. In response to the high requirements of the cabinet industry for waterproof, moisture-proof, fireproof, non-deformation, low formaldehyde content, no odor, durability, and other factors, our company has introduced advanced German door panel technology, using a new generation of furniture panels created with imported Finnish crystallization equipment. The surface of the crystal steel plate is hard, transparent, with lasting color, rich patterns, no traces from cutting, no rotting from water exposure, and no damage from fire. The most important aspect is that it does not rely on chemical adhesives and eliminates formaldehyde, achieving true environmental friendliness. Glass door panels can be used in any style of kitchen wall cabinets, especially in smaller kitchens.

Advantages: Good light transmission of glass, environmentally friendly, no release of odors. Rich colors can be made into various special colors. Good moisture resistance and fire resistance, no deformation issues. The combination of crystal steel and aluminum alloy frame door panels offers a variety of colors and a crystal clear texture that gives a fresh feeling.

Disadvantages: Glass door panels need to be cleaned regularly and should not allow oil stains to seep into the aluminum. It can be more difficult to clean.

Choosing and maintaining: If the usage frequency is high, it is recommended to choose frosted glass, which not only enhances the grade but also provides better scratch resistance. When using glass door panels, make sure to arrange the items inside neatly to avoid affecting the appearance.
