Laser Safety Device for Bending Machine
The laser safety device for a bending machine consists of an emitter, receiver, mounting bracket, and controller. When selecting the light curtain, both general installation and programming mode installation can be chosen. In general installation, the light curtain directly sends signals to the bending machine control system. Programming mode is suitable for large fully automatic bending machines, with more input signals. Additionally, each signal's logic information can be edited.
This device effectively prevents injuries to operators' fingers and arms during the operation of the bending machine, providing effective protection for the personnel.
The light curtain of the laser safety device for the bending machine can be used for various types of workpieces, such as flat bending, box folding, and Z-shaped bending. All functions are centralized on the control panel, making it easier for users to switch between different modes. It has a built-in stable power supply module, reverse connection protection module, and overload protection module, suitable for various bending machines. The light source used is visible light, and it employs emitter automatic light adjustment technology, which can automatically align the light even in the presence of strong vibrations from the bending machine, providing greater convenience for light alignment. The light curtain uses a self-judging data processing chip that automatically corrects the sensitivity to light and incrementally adjusts it based on light attenuation during continuous use. The product is designed for 100,000 hours of operation.
Debugging and Precautions for Bending Machine Protection Device
Three-point panel indicators:
① E1, E2, E3 are indicators for the L1, L2, L3 receiving points. In normal light transmission, when the L1, L2, and L3 receiving points receive the light beam, the E1, E2, E3 indicators light up. If any of the receiving points are blocked, the corresponding indicator will turn off.
② Normal mode, light transmission state, light-blocking state. In normal light transmission, the light-blocking state indicator lights up. When any one or all of the L1, L2, and L3 receiving points are blocked, the light-blocking state indicator lights up.
③ Shielding mode. When the key switch is turned to the shielding mode, the bending machine protection device is shielded, and the emitter is turned off. At this time, blocking is ineffective, and the bending machine operates normally.
④ Feed mode. The feed mode is the conversion signal S1 for the bending machine protection device, which can be provided by the controller or use the bending machine's slow down signal.
⑤ Box folding mode. When the key switch is turned to the box folding mode, the bending machine protection device automatically shields the L1 receiving point. This can be used for bending box-shaped workpieces.
[Normal Mode]
This mode is selected for bending plate operations. In this mode, all E1, E2, and E3 light beams are active. During rapid downward movement, if any light beam is blocked, the safety output is interrupted.
[Box Folding Mode]
This mode is selected for box folding operations. In this mode, all L2 and L3 light beams are active, while L1 is affected and no longer provides protection. During rapid downward movement, if any L2 or L3 light beam is blocked, the safety output is interrupted.
[Shielding Mode]
This mode is selected when changing the mold or bending irregularly shaped workpieces. In this mode, the emitter's laser is turned off, and all L1, L2, and L3 light beams are affected. The safety output signal remains active, but the laser protection device does not provide protection. Even if the bending machine closes the mold at a safe speed, there may still be safety hazards. Please use this function with caution.
