How is aluminum square bending done?

In recent years, curved aluminum square ceiling has become increasingly popular, with a growing number of consumers and a wider consumer base. Curved aluminum square ceilings have gained favor in various industries due to their unique decorative effect, strong visual impact, and stunning decorative results. Nowadays, the stunning effects brought by curved aluminum square ceilings can be seen in various occasions, such as wave walls and wave ceilings, all of which are created using curved aluminum square ceilings. How is this magical decorative material processed?

I. CNC Engraving of Materials

After refining the design drawings, the obtained data is input into the data center for CNC cutting by the CNC engraving machine. The material of the curved aluminum square ceiling consists of three pieces, with two sides of equal height and a bottom width. Since the bottom width of the material is regulated, a common shearing machine is used to cut the material. CNC engraving cutting is used for processing the two curved pieces of material for the sides.

II. Material Folding

After preparing the materials, it is necessary to arrange them properly. Material arrangement is done to determine the quantity and organize them. Then, the materials are processed by a bending machine for bending. The opening of the bending edge is usually around 2cm, but the actual bending process depends on the suspension system.

III. Reinforcement Processing

Reinforcement is performed on the opposite side based on the size of the curved result. Reinforcement materials are commonly used, with thicker materials requiring less depth of reinforcement, and thinner materials with greater depth usually requiring reinforcement to ensure the result of the sheet.

IV. Spot Welding for Forming Stability

The goal of spot welding is to join the edge scraps with the surface of the sheet for forming stability. Finally, it is necessary to perform spot welding to secure the bottom and edge scraps. During the spot welding process, the dimensions and flatness of the corresponding sheet surface need to be considered to ensure that the overall shape is not affected.

V. Full Welding for Stability Assurance

Why is full welding necessary? This is because the curved aluminum square ceiling is relatively thick. If only spot welding is relied upon, the panel may crack under the influence of factors such as gravity during use, affecting the decorative result and increasing the cost of repairs. Therefore, full welding is necessary to ensure its stability, safety, and overall integrity.

VI. Polishing

After full welding, the dimensions, stability, and integrity of the sheet need to be checked and adjusted. Once confirmed, polishing and buffing are performed on these aspects. The processing of weld lines is particularly important, requiring sufficient smoothness through polishing and buffing. Only then can the sprayed product appear aesthetically pleasing. Therefore, the process of polishing and buffing requires meticulous attention to detail.

VII. Coating Processing

Coating processing is carried out according to the planned color scheme. Curved aluminum square ceilings can be treated with electrostatic powder coating, paint spraying, fluorocarbon coating, or heat transfer printing with wood grain. The choice of process depends on the design requirements and application conditions.

VIII. Packaging

Packaging is also a crucial step. Proper packaging can effectively protect the products. Usually, a white film is applied, followed by bubble wrap packaging. Due to the irregular shape and heavier weight of curved aluminum squares compared to other products, wooden crates are necessary, with cardboard or other materials placed on all sides to ensure the product is protected from damage.
